This dress was never worn except for fittings.  Alteration explanation:  When my daughter tried on the dress at the botique, they clipped the larger size floor model dress at the zipper.  This pulled the back closer together.  The silouette of the back looked more like a scooped "bathing suit" back with strips of material down each side. (picture 3) This style was more slimming.  When the actual size six dress came in, however, the back appeared bare.(picture 4).  To fix this problem, the seamstress added two inches under each arm and covered it with matching embroidered fabric.  (pictures 5 and 6)  The alteration is not evident at all.   The final look of the back and front are shown in the last two pictures.  The dress is beautiful, but my daughter ended up borrowing a friend's dress that had sleeves.  It was more the look she wanted for a November wedding.  This dress would be beautiful for a summer wedding.  If this site will allow it, I can send a video of my daughter walking in the dress at the final fitting.
