This dress is in fabulous shape and I'm ready to pass it on to someone else to enjoy on their own big day. I purchased this dress from a wedding consignment shop in May 2023. It had the original tags on it then, but I've since lost track of them and have no idea what size this was when I purchased. Based on my own size (typically 12-14) I'm going to guess it was a 16. I had it altered in the waist and in the shoulders. I had a bra added to the bodice, but then had them removed before the wedding. The original interior cups remain. I had the length shortened- I am 5'8" and wore flat sneakers.
A bustle was added, with two layers- one for the Swiss dot lace and one for the top mesh layer. I gave this dress a good once-over when I was taking photos and the only issues I see are a hanging thread on one of the cap sleeves, and some wear to the first layer (the satiny-looking base of the dress). You can tell I was walking on concrete all night in it, but if you are planning to have the dress shortened or don't plan to bustle it, this wear will not show. The wear is primarily on the underside of the back hem, with just a few pulls on the outer side of the base layer at the back hem. I did not trim the wear on the back hem as I figure you're likely to have it hemmed again for height yourself!
Other measurements I took:
15" down the back from the top of the shoulder seam to the waist beading
41" down the back from the waist beading to the floor
58" total length from the top of the back collar to the floor.
These measurements do not include the train length.
No stains, significant rips/tears, or lost beading. Kept in a pet friendly home- has been in a zippered bag from the dry cleaners since it was cleaned in May 2024.
